Houseboat HMS Lincoln sits on the River Thames at Richmond Lock. Moored on the East Twickenham side of the river, she looks across to the Old Deer Park on the Richmond side. Close by is the attractive footbridge and the lock itself, just downstream. Also downstream are Kew Gardens, which interviewee Barbara references. Listen out for her anecdote about the two wonderful species willows, whose collective presence has protected this part of the riverbank from development. This is a wonderful location for any houseboat or canal boat. Highly recommended.
